ASSESS YOUR NEEDS

WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU

WANT TO GET RID OF?

The materials you want to dispose of impact which container is right for your project.

First of all, you should know that some objects and residual materials are not accepted in the containers since they will be refused at the sorting center. Here is a list of objects and materials that you will not be able to deposit in an eco-responsible container. To find out how to dispose of these objects and materials safely and eco-responsibly, we invite you to consult the website of your ecocenter and the list of collections in your neighborhood.

THE PRICE OF ECO-RESPONSIBLE

TREATMENT OF YOUR WASTE MATERIALS

VARIES DEPENDING ON THEIR NATURE

Since what you put in our containers will be sorted by material, containers that only contain one type of material are the least expensive to process (soil only, asphalt only, etc.).

If you plan to put different materials in the same container, what you need is a mixed materials container. Keep in mind, however, that toxic products and explosive materials are on the list of what you cannot put in an eco-friendly container. Another element to consider: soil must never be mixed with other materials in the same container, since it would contaminate its contents and the residual materials it contains would be refused at the sorting center.

PROHIBITED OBJECTS, MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS IN AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE CONTAINER

  • Tires
  • Mattress
  • Carpets
  • Paints, solvents and other hazardous or toxic household products
  • Propane tanks, dynamite and other flammable materials and explosive products.
  • Aerosol cans
  • Oils, gasolines and other liquids
  • Contaminated soil or sand
  • Batteries and cells
  • Infectious medical waste

If you want to get rid of hazardous household waste (HHW)

Paint, stain, varnish, sealant, used oil, chlorine for swimming pools, compact fluorescent lamp, fluorescent tube, etc.

We offer a collection service.

Depending on your needs, we will bring you one or more bins where you can deposit these products, which will be processed safely and eco-responsibly. Be careful not to put them in the container; we will collect them when we pick up your container on site. If, for example, you have old paint to dispose of, we will give you a bin that can hold two 5-gallon containers when your container is delivered. Expect a fee of $45 per bin, and remember that no explosive, aerosol or highly flammable products should be placed in our bins (due to government transportation regulations).
